{"id":477865,"date":"2023-10-16T08:15:56","date_gmt":"2023-10-16T08:15:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/envirotecmagazine.com\/?p=477865"},"modified":"2023-10-16T08:15:56","modified_gmt":"2023-10-16T08:15:56","slug":"diverse-mix-shortlisted-for-scottish-green-energy-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/envirotecmagazine.com\/2023\/10\/16\/diverse-mix-shortlisted-for-scottish-green-energy-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"Diverse mix shortlisted for Scottish Green Energy Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/envirotecmagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Scottish-Renewables-Awards-1200px.jpg\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Scottish Green Energy Awards announced the shortlist for this year&#8217;s awards, said to be the UK\u2019s biggest celebration of the renewable energy industry, on 13 October.<\/p>\n<p>Wind, solar, tidal and pumped storage hydro projects feature on this year\u2019s shortlist along with community hubs, an eco-farm, one of Scotland\u2019s fastest-growing food brands and individuals nominated by their peers.<\/p>\n<p>The annual awards see more than 50 individuals, companies and projects vie to scoop prizes in 14 categories at a 1,200-guest ceremony on 30 November in Edinburgh.<\/p>\n<p>Claire Mack, Chief Executive of Scottish Renewables, said: \u201cI\u2019ve been absolutely blown away by the outstanding quality of nominations we received for this year\u2019s awards.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis only makes the job of the judges even harder and we have had to make some really tough decisions but the shortlist has an abundance of quality, dedication and of course the innovation our industry needs to continue to thrive.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI look forward to celebrating Scotland\u2019s contribution to the economy and the environment, on what will be a fantastic evening in Edinburgh on November 30.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Matthieu Hue, Chief Executive of EDF Renewables, said: \u201cOnce again we are delighted to be headline sponsor of the much-anticipated Scottish Green Energy Awards.
